Google CFO Warns About Click Fraud
Google's CFO made some worrying comments yesterday on the subject of click-fraud.

"I think something has to be done about this really, really quickly, because I think, potentially, it threatens our business model," Google Chief Financial Officer George Reyes said Wednesday.

As Gary Stein puts it...

The article points out that Google's policy is to refund advertiser money if click-fraud is proven--the burden of proof is on the advertiser. This is the flip-side of pay-per-click in general: the risk of media spend is taken away from the advertiser and put on the publisher or the provider. But no free lunch, right? Advertisers need to be vigilant.
