Keyword Research for Blogs
Our friend, Amanda Watlington, has been keeping a low profile since her departure from iProspect, but she resurfaced at SES San Jose and appears to have moved on to better things.

A newly established advocate for blogs, Amanda keeps the momentum going with a new article over at e-marketing-news, where she takes a look at keyword research for blogs. One sentence says it all for me...

"Effective blog writing is in essence the development of timely, topical content guided by a pre-selected, controlled vocabulary."

Bingo! I totally agree. Here at SEL, I decided on the blog subject, kept a mental note of search terms that I wanted to target and then built the foundation. From that foundation, I write each blog post with my audience and keywords in mind. It's now so natural, I don't consciously think about keywords anymore.
